At ROXX Flooring, environmental sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, with a particular focus on recycling. Over the years, we have supported numerous high-profile UK events, including The Open, The Grand National, Wimbledon, Cheltenham Festival, BMW Championship, AIG Women’s Open, and major exhibitions at the Scottish Event Campus.

Our commitment goes beyond meeting industry standards — we actively identify and use the most sustainable materials for event flooring. These materials not only meet rigorous quality and durability requirements but are also designed for efficient recycling.

We have been pioneers in adopting PP Action Back carpeting, demonstrating our dedication to recyclable materials. Through this initiative, event flooring can be processed efficiently at Innovate Recycler’s facility in Northampton. Recycling often involves additional costs, including gate fees, labour, and transport, which frequently exceed landfill disposal expenses. Yet, ROXX Flooring consistently prioritises environmental integrity over financial gain.

Since the start of 2021, we have been recycling all flooring used in our clients’ projects. During the tender process, we develop a recycling plan that outlines the materials to be used, approximate weights, and projected recycling outcomes. After project completion, we issue a CO₂ savings report. To date, this approach has diverted 300 tons of flooring from landfill.
